Treyshawn Williams, 23, Killed in Cajon Pass Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 15
CAJON PASS, CA (January 1, 2022) – Treyshawn Williams was killed after a motorcycle crash on the Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass.
The coroner’s office identified the 23-year-old San Bernardino man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday night.
The incident happened on New Year’s Day when Treyshawn Williams was riding a motorcycle south on the Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass.
Motorcyclist and Tesla Collide
For an unknown reason, he collided with the back of a white Model X Tesla at about 50 mph. The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed north of Highway 138.
The rider ended up ejected from the bike as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found him lying in the No. 2 lane of the freeway.
Treyshawn Williams died at the scene of the crash. The Victor Valley News wrote that the accident occurred at about 10:12 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 15 to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Cajon Pass crash is still under investigation.
