Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Indianola Cutoff
Humboldt County, CA (May 21, 2022) – Troy Rassbach, a 59-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101.
According to Redheaded Blackbelt, a vehicle struck an individual walking in the southbound side of SR-101. The collision took place just north of Indianola Cutoff on May 14, Saturday. Officials described the car involved in the horrible crash as a 2010 Honda Pilot.
The article published online mentioned rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 3:32 a.m. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The California Highway Patrol group identified the deceased as Troy Rassbach, of Arcata.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Honda appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident on Highway 101 in Humboldt County.
