3 Injured in Tulare Crash on Highway 99 Near Avenue 200
TULARE, CA (February 9, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 200 in Tulare.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Wednesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4:16 p.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Tulare. They crashed on the northbound side of Highway 99, just south of Avenue 200.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
CHP described the cars as a 2104 gray Chevrolet Malibu, a gray Honda Accord and a purple Toyota RAV4. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Hacienda Carmel community.
Medical personnel found three people who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. They then took all patients to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Tulare crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down near Avenue 200 following the wreck.
