Teen Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near Road 180
Tulare County, CA (August 10, 2022) – An 18-year-old suffered fatal injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred Tuesday morning on Highway 198.
According to Your Central Valley, a vehicle struck an individual in the westbound side of SR-198. The horrible crash took place just west of Road 180 in Tulare County.

Earlier reports indicated emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 4 a.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim found suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the teenager sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Officers only identified the deceased as an 18-year-old. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officers added the driver stopped a short distance away following the collision. The motorist sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the unfortunate event that happened on Highway 198 in Tulare County.
