Pedestrian in Wheelchair Seriously Hurt in Twin Lakes Crash at 7th Avenue and Cliff Drive
TWIN LAKES, CA (October 14, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a pedestrian in a wheelchair at 7th Avenue and Cliff Drive in Twin Lakes.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident shortly after 2 p.m.
CHP said a black Toyota struck the pedestrian in a wheelchair in the Twin Lakes area. The driver of the car hit the person at the intersection of 7th Avenue and East Cliff Drive.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Twin Lakes State Beach. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name and condition of the patient at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the intersection of 7th Avenue and Cliff Drive to close following the collision.
The cause of the Twin Lakes pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
