Several Injured in Ukiah Crash on Highway 101 at North State Street
UKIAH, CA (May 24, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 101 at State Street in Ukiah.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident last week on Thursday evening. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at about 7:09 p.m.
The accident happened on May 20 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ukiah. They crashed on southbound Highway 101 at North State Street off-ramp.
Car Collision on Southbound Highway 101
CHP described the cars involved as a white Honda Accord and a gray colored Honda Accord. One of them slammed into a power pole nearby.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found multiple patients who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took them to the Adventist Health Ukiah Valley for treatment. Officials did not release the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound Highway 101 at State Street to close following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Ukiah crash.
