1 Killed in Upland Crash on Interstate 210 Freeway Near Mountain Avenue
UPLAND, CA (July 18, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person on the Interstate 210 Freeway near Mountain Avenue in Upland.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:21 p.m.
CHP said a passenger car, a utility pickup truck and a big rig collided for an unknown reason in Upland. The three vehicles crashed on the westbound Interstate 210 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The semi-truck rolled over due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that one individual died as a result of the incident.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Medical personnel assessed several other people who they found lying on the ground.
Meanwhile, CHP forced all lanes of the 210 Freeway to shut down for a time near Mountain following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Upland crash is still under investigation.
