At Least 1 Hurt in Car Accident on SR-20 Near Government Street Sunday
Upper Lake, CA (April 19, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred Sunday afternoon on State Route 20, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated two cars crashed in the 755 block of the highway near Government Street in Upper Lake. Officials described the vehicles found at the scene as a silver Toyota Prius and a white pickup truck loaded with pipes.
At approximately 3 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. The CHP dispatch mentioned at least one occupant in the Toyota sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and the extent of their injuries remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, our sources confirmed the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene before police arrived. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
