Motorcyclist Badly Injured in Vacaville Crash on Interstate 80 and Cherry Glen Road
VACAVILLE, CA (October 1, 2022) – A crash left a motorcyclist badly injured on the Interstate 80 and Cherry Glen Road in Vacaville.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place last week on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck on September 20 at about 7:17 a.m.
The incident happened when the motorcycle rider and a gold Pontiac Bonneville collided for an unknown reason in Vacaville. The two crashed on the eastbound Interstate 80 at the Cherry Glen Road off-ramp.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene just east of North Texas Street. They found the motorcyclist who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident. Officers forced the eastbound Interstate 80 at Cherry Glen to shut down after the wreck.
The cause of the Vacaville crash is still under investigation.
