1 Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash on Valley Center Road
VALLEY CENTER, CA (February 5, 2022) – At least one was seriously after a DUI head-on crash on Valley Center Road in San Diego County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:40 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in the Valley Center area. They crashed at 30018 Valley Center Road near Rock Hill Ranch Road.
CHP described the cars as a truck and a sedan.
2 Vehicles Collide
One of them rolled over as a result of the collision which occurred near the Star Valley Park. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries following the wreck. Medical personnel took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP believed that one of the drivers involved was under the influence and caused the incident.
Officers forced Valley Center Road to shut down in both directions after the DUI crash. The collision is still under investigation.
