Bicyclist Killed in Venice Hit-and-Run Crash Near Pacific and Rose Avenues
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 20, 2021) – A bicyclist was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Pacific and Rose avenues in Venice.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Friday. Officers reported the collision at about 3 a.m.
The incident began when a woman was riding a bicycle in circles in the Venice neighborhood. Los Angeles police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck her.
The driver hit the cyclist near the intersection of Pacific and Rose avenues. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found her left lying on the ground.

The rider sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon rushed her to a hospital where she died. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. They described the car a black large-size SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban.
Officers forced the intersection of Pacific and Rose avenues to shut down for a time following the accident. The fatal Venice hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
