Pedestrian Killed in Venice DUI Crash at Lincoln Boulevard and Marco Court
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 31, 2021) – A DUI crash at Lincoln Boulevard and Marco Court killed a pedestrian in the Venice neighborhood.
According to the ABC 7 News and CBS Los Angeles, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 9:45 p.m.
The incident happened on May 29 when a man and a woman were riding a one-person electric scooter on a sidewalk in Venice.
At the same time, a male pedestrian was walking near the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Marco Court. Police said the scooter then struck the victim.

The impact caused the pedestrian to hit his head on the sidewalk. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the two riders of the scooter sustained minor injuries following the accident.
Police determined that the man operating the scooter was under the influence when he collided with the victim. Officers soon arrested him for DUI.
Officials forced the corner of Lincoln and Marco to close following the collision. The Venice pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
