Motorcycle Rider Hits Cyclist on SR-101
Ventura, CA (May 14, 2023) – A traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol group.
Officials said a motorcycle rider struck a person pushing a bike in the southbound side of the highway near Seaward Avenue. Our sources indicated the cyclist was walking in a northerly direction on SR-101 when the motorcycle rider hit them.
The collision took place on May 13, Saturday, around 2:12 a.m.
Major Injury Collision in Ventura
When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the accident. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the man found lying near the center divider of the highway. Our sources later confirmed the bicyclist sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation, the name and age of the victim remained undisclosed.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Highway 101 in Ventura.
