Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Ventura County Crash on Wood Road Near Pacific Coast
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (October 11, 2021) – One was seriously injured after a crash on Wood Road near Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Monday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 6:45 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person on Wood Road, just north Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name and condition of the wounded party at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced a stretch of Wood Road to shut down near Pacific Coast following the collision.
The cause of the Ventura County pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
