2 Killed in National City Car Accident Identified
NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (April 15, 2024) — Victor Bacallao, 45, and his friend, Robert Casillas Jr., both died April 5th in a crash on D Avenue in National City.
The solo-vehicle collision occurred at around 11 p.m. on Friday, April 5th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The two National City men were riding together in an SUV. Robert Casillas Jr. was reported driving at a high rate of speed and apparently lost control and then crashed into two parked cars.
Both Victor Bacallao and Robert Casillas Jr. became trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene.
Finally, investigators are working to determine what factors contributed to the fatal crash.
