Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision Near Clay Street Tuesday
Jurupa Valley, CA (March 15, 2022) – Victor Gonzales, a 30-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Van Buren Boulevard before sunrise Tuesday.
According to the Sun News, a vehicle struck and run over Gonzales in the area just north of Clay Street. The collision took place at about 1:50 a.m. in Jurupa Valley.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Van Buren Boulevard in Jurupa Valley
Emergency crews reportedly reached the location within minutes following the calls. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the identity of the deceased as Victor Gonzales, of Jurupa Valley.
Meanwhile, the article published online mentioned the driver fled the scene after the crash. Police later found the hit-and-run suspect. The 38-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of fleeing the scene of the accident.
