Victor Millhouse, 72, ID’d as Suspect in Greenwood DUI Crash on Highway 193
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (March 2, 2022) – Authorities detained Victor Millhouse after a DUI crash on Highway 193 in Greenwood.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 72-year-old Cool man was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck took place on Tuesday.
The incident began when Victor Millhouse was driving a 2019 GMC Canyon in the Greenwood area of El Dorado County. He then pulled out of the parking lot of the Lance’s Place onto Highway 193.
In the process, his car went directly into the path of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. CHP said the GMC slammed into the Jeep just north of Sliger Mine Road.
Girl, 17, Injured in Wreck
The Jeep obtained heavy front-end damage while the Canyon rolled over due to the impact of the collision. The Mountain Democrat wrote that the accident occurred on March 1 at about 6:15 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. Both Victor Millhouse and the driver of the Wrangler, a 17-year-old girl from Georgetown, sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel treated the teen at the site and took the man to the Marshall Hospital for further aid. Meanwhile, CHP soon arrested and charged Victor Millhouse with felony DUI.
Officers added that the passenger in the Jeep, a 17-year-old girl from Garden Valley, ended up unharmed following the wreck. The Greenwood DUI crash is still under investigation.
