4 Injured in Victorville Car Crash on 15 Freeway Near Stoddard Wells and Bell Mountain
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 9, 2021) – Several were injured after a semi-truck crash on the 15 Freeway in Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on September 8 at about 12:30 p.m.
The incident began when a white sedan with a blown-out tire was driving slowly on the southbound 15 Freeway in Victorville. For an unknown reason, a semi-truck hit the the car.
The big rig continued and slammed into a white pickup truck hauling a fifth wheel trailer at the time. The impact forced both the semi and the pickup onto a dirt shoulder off the road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said the three vehicles crashed between Stoddard Wells Road and Bell Mountain. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
A total of four people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. An air ambulance took one victim to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
Ground ambulances rushed the other three patients for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the 15 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Victorville car crash is still under investigation.
