2 Injured in Victorville Crash at D Street and Sixth Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 10, 2021) – A car crash left two people injured at D Street and Sixth Street in Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:53 a.m.
The incident happened when a silver Volkswagen sedan was going south on Sixth Street, approaching D Street, in Victorville. The car then blew the stop sign for an unknown reason.
Police said the Volkswagen slammed into a Chevy Suburban at the intersection D Street and Sixth Street. Both cars ended up with major damage as a result of the collision.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Another Car
Paramedics took the driver of the Chevy to the St. Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the woman driving the sedan sustained critical injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel took her to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where she was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded motorists and their condition at this time. Officers forced the westbound lanes to shut down following the wreck.
Police added that the collision damaged a light pole in front of the Victor Valley Transit Center. Authorities are still investigating the Victorville crash.
