2 Killed, 1 Injured in Victorville Crash on D Street Near Interstate 15
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 14, 2022) – A car crash killed two people and injured one person on D Street near the Interstate 15 in Victorville.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:47 a.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Victorville. They crashed in the 14600 block of D Street near the Interstate 15 Freeway.
One car, a dark 2001 Chrysler Sebring, obtained extensive damage and ended up in the middle of the roadway. The other car, a pickup truck, went off the road and plunged down into an embankment.
Cars and Semi-Truck Collide
The third vehicle, a tractor-trailer combination, came to a stop with moderate damage to the front driver side along the shoulder.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced two individuals dead at the scene. A third patient sustained non-serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries upon impact. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced D Street to shut down in both directions between the Interstate 15 and Air Expressway following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Victorville crash is still under investigation.
