1 Seriously Injured in Victorville Crash on Highway 18 Saturday
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 7, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a head-on crash on Highway 18 near Victorville.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 4:28 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason near Victorville. They crashed on Highway 18, also known as Palmdale Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped person from the wreckage. The rescued individual and another party ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
CHP confirmed that one of them sustained major injuries upon impact. Air ambulances took both patients to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 18 to shut down for an hour and a half following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Victorville crash.
