At Least 1 Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 62
Vidal, CA (January 29, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 62, also known as Aqueduct Road.
On January 28, Saturday, a white Chevrolet Malibu and a black pickup truck hauling a recreational vehicle crashed head-on on the highway in Vidal. Our sources indicated the force from the impact caused both vehicles to emit smoke.
Shortly after 10:22 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders found the pickup truck fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked extensively to put out the fire.
Medical personnel checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. According to the CHP dispatch, one person sadly died in the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the horrible crash have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on SR-62 in Vidal.
