2 Injured in Traffic Collision on Avenue 54 at Borchardt Drive Thursday
Visalia, CA (July 15, 2021) – Two people, including Mr. Cortz-Ruiz, suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Avenue 54 Thursday morning.
The FOX26 News reported Ms. Hernandez-Mikely was driving a vehicle traveling at an unknown direction on Avenue 54. When the woman approached the area near Borchardt Drive, she noticed lights from a vehicle parked on the roadway.
Our sources indicated Ms. Hernandez-Mikely swerved to avoid collision. The sudden movement caused the vehicle to overturn.
During the crash, Mr. Cortz-Ruiz was ejected from the front-passenger window. The man ended up hitting the concrete roadway.
At Least 1 Airlifted After Car Accident in Visalia, July 15
Emergency teams arrived shortly after 4:50 a.m. Medical personnel reportedly found the male passenger with serious injuries. A helicopter later arrived at the location and transported the patient to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
Authorities added a passenger sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. No immediate information was available on the second victim in the crash.
At this time, investigators assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car accident on Avenue 54 happened.
