Man Chasing Dog Fatally Hit by Car at County Center Drive and Victor Avenue Wednesday
Visalia, CA (February 9, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of County Center Drive and Victor Avenue Wednesday.
According to ABC30 News, a vehicle struck a man that stepped onto traffic at the intersection in Visalia. Earlier reports indicated the victim was apparently chasing down their dog when the horrible crash happened.
Our sources indicated the accident took place around 7 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Officials mentioned the driver stopped after the crash and stayed at the site until police arrived. Detectives continue to work at this time to investigate liability in the deadly accident at County Center Drive and Victor Avenue.
