Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle Near Santa Fe Street Over Crossing Sunday
Visalia, CA (February 13, 2022) – A pedestrian accident occurred Sunday on State Route Highway 198, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said they received reports about a man seen walking close to the center divider along the freeway in Visalia. For reasons still under investigation, one or more oncoming vehicles hit the male pedestrian. The catastrophic incident took place in the westbound side of SR-198; in the area near the Santa Fe Street over crossing.
Shortly after 7:03 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian found with major injuries. The name of the victim and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the pedestrian accident on State Route 198 in Visalia.
