3 Hospitalized After Rollover Collision Near Telegraph Canyon Road Saturday
Vista, CA (February 26, 2022) – Several people suffered injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred on Interstate 805, also known as Jacob Dekema Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a large box truck collided with another vehicle in the northbound side of the highway. Officials said the traffic accident took place just south of Telegraph Canyon Road in Vista.
Shortly after 4:26 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding emergency crews found the big truck overturned on top of a small compact car.
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all parties injured in the collision. According to the CHP dispatch, as many as three people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed all three patients to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Personal information on the injured parties remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Preliminary investigation revealed one driver showed signs of intoxication. It remained unclear whether the driver of the truck, or the driver of the compact car was drunk at the time of the collision.
Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the DUI car crash on Interstate 805 in Vista.
