Wally Rogers, 55, Killed in Redding Hit-and-Run on South Bonnyview Road
REDDING, CA (June 14, 2021) – Wally Rogers was killed after a hit-and-run crash on South Bonnyview Road in Redding.
The Shasta County Coroner’s Office identified the 55-year-old Redding man as the victim of the fatal collision last week on Wednesday.
The incident happened on June 9 when a vehicle struck Wally Wayne Rogers for an unknown reason in Redding. The driver hit him on South Bonnyview Road near East Bonnyview Road.
Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found Wally Rogers down on the ground as a result of the Redding crash. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
The Record Searchlight and Action News Now wrote that the accident took place at about 4:53 a.m. The Redding hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
