Woman Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 1 Friday
Watsonville, CA (January 17, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 1 on January 14.
The Pajaronian News reported multiple vehicles collided in the northbound side of the freeway in Watsonville.
According to the article published online, a box delivery truck plowed crashed into the back of a utility van. The force from the impact pushed the van to hit a pickup truck. Then, the pickup truck was shoved into a trailer towed by another pickup. Officials said the second pickup slammed into the rear of another pickup.
The incident took place at approximately 12:15 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found at least one female party with injuries. Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Our sources indicated officers shut down one lane of the highway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car crash on Highway 1 in Watsonville happened.
