1 Killed in Collision Near Grandee Avenue Saturday
Watts, CA (March 20, 2022) – A 40-year-old man died following a traffic accident that occurred on Imperial Highway, according to My News LA.
Earlier reports indicated the man was riding a motorized scooter traveling in the streets near Watts. When the rider approached the area near Grandee Avenue, he collided with a vehicle of unknown make and model. The horrible crash took place Saturday evening.
Motorized Scooter Rider Dies in Crash in Imperial Highway
Shortly after 10:50 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the scooter rider with serious injuries. An ambulance rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later sadly died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The condition of the other motorist, a 19-year-old man, have not been revealed thus far.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the fatal crash on Imperial Highway in Watts.
