1 Killed, 1 Injured in West Covina Crash on 10 Freeway Near Barranca Street
WEST COVINA, CA (June 4, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another on the 10 Freeway near Barranca Street in West Covina.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:30 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in West Covina. They crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway near the Barranca Street off-ramp.

The reports described some of the cars involved as a red Honda Civic, a tan Nissan Altima and a minivan.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found one individual lying on the ground. They soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
At least one more patient ended up treated at the site for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the collision. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down near Barranca for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal West Covina crash is still under investigation.
