Pedestrian Injured in West Modesto Hit-and-Run at California and Seybold
WEST MODESTO, CA (September 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at California nd Seybold avenues in West Modesto.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:34 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in West Modesto. The driver hit the person at the intersection of California and Seybold avenues.
Collision Near School
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near a junior high school. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then gave treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of California and Seybold to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
