Pedestrian Injured in West Rancho Dominguez Hit-and-Run at Redondo Beach and San Pedro
AUBURN CA (February 12, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Redondo Beach Boulevard and San Pedro Street in West Rancho Dominguez.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the collision shortly after 6 p.m.
The accident happened on February 11 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in West Rancho Dominguez. The driver hit the person at the intersection of East Redondo Beach Boulevard and South San Pedro Street.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Avalon Boulevard. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Redondo Beach and San Pedro to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the West Rancho Dominguez hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
