Westmont pedestrian 111th Street Normandie
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Westmont Crash at 111th Street and Normandie Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at 111th Street and Normandie Avenue in Westmont.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the accident shortly after 8:30 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Westmont neighborhood. The driver hit the person at the intersection of West 111th Street and South Normandie Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Imperial Highway. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of 111th Street and Normandie Avenue to close for a time following the crash.
The cause of the Westmont pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
