 William Merinko Fatal Palm Springs Crash Sunrise Way, Tachevah DriveDeadly Crash at Sunrise Way and Tachevah Drive in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2021) — William Merinko, 67, died Tuesday night in a collision at Sunrise Way and Techevah Drive.

The Palm Springs man was thrown from his vehicle in the traffic accident about 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday night, according to the Palm Springs Police Department and the Desert Sun.

Also, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department identified William Merinko on their website on Wednesday.

Police officers responded to a crash at the Palm Springs intersection on Oct. 12th. They requested paramedics to respond and the injured man was transported by ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center. Additionally, he later died from his injuries early Wednesday morning at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the second driver suffered minor injuries and paramedics also transported that person to a hospital.

Finally, police are investigating the cause of the collision and will determine fault. At this time, they do not suspect alcohol and drugs were contributing factors.
