William Romero, 25, Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on Taft Highway
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 2, 2021) – William Romero was killed after a pedestrian crash on Taft Highway in Bakersfield.
The Coroner’s Office identified the 25-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim of the fatal accident which occurred on Tuesday.
Bakersfield police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck William Alejandro Romero for an unknown reason. The female driver hit him in the 5400 block of Taft Highway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the man down on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
William Romero died at the scene of the pedestrian crash. The Bakersfield Californian and Bakersfield Now wrote that the accident took place on August 31 at about 8:48p.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the woman driving the car stopped after hitting the victim. She stayed at the crash site and then cooperated with the officers.
The cause of the Bakersfield pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
