Motorcycle vs. Semitrailer Collision Near Highway 166 Friday
Bakersfield, CA (November 22, 2021) – William Alan Summers, a 73-year-old man, died following a traffic crash that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway onramp.
The Bakersfield.com published an article online indicating William Summers was riding a motorcycle heading north on I-5. In the area near Highway 166, the motorcyclist reportedly crashed into a semitrailer.

The catastrophic incident took place on November 19, Friday.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found William Summers unconscious. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the man but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
No immediate information was available on the operator of the semitrailer.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal motorcycle crash on Interstate 5 in Bakersfield happened.
