Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near Willits Scales Monday
Willits, CA (January 10, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Monday evening on State Route 101, also known as Redwood Highway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a vehicle struck a person pushing a shopping cart on SR-101 in Willits. CHP logged the horrible crash at about 6:40 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the pedestrian but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver and occupants of the vehicle involved in the catastrophic incident.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 101 in Willits.
