1 Injured in Willowbrook Hit-and-Run Crash at El Segundo and San Pedro
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 10, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at El Segundo Boulevard and San Pedro Street in Willowbrook.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:41 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck a black Hyundai Sonata in the Willowbrook area. The two crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of El Segundo Boulevard and San Pedro Street.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Magic Johnson Park. They found an occupant of the Hyundai left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that other driver did not stop to help and fled the area. They described the suspect car as a gold colored Nissan sedan.
Officers forced the intersection of El Segundo and San Pedro to close following the wreck. The cause of the Willowbrook hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
