Officer Hospitalized in Traffic Collision on Interstate 5 Freeway Friday
Woodland, CA (July 30, 2021) – A Woodland police officer suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on Interstate 5 Freeway early Friday morning, the FOX40 News reported.
Officials said a female police officer was doing traffic control for firefighters at a grass fire that happened in a field along the freeway.

According to the article published online, a passing vehicle struck the officer sitting in her vehicle. The force from the impact pushed the patrol vehicle into a nearby guardrail. Authorities confirmed the collision resulted in injuries to the female officer. Paramedics reportedly transported the injured deputy to the hospital as a precaution.
The civilian driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the car crash in Woodland.
