1 Dead, 1 Badly Hurt in Collision at Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillion
Desert Hot Springs, CA (March 15, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a wrong-way car crash that occurred in the area of Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillion Road.
The NBC News reported 81-year-old Gail Bronson, of Indio, was seen driving southbound in the northbound lane of Dillion Road. When the wrong-way motorist approached the intersection at Thousand Palms Canyon Road, it collided head-on into another car. The horrible crash took place Monday around 3:29 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found the two drivers with moderate to serious injuries. Paramedics rushed the two patients to Desert Medical Center, where Bronson later sadly died.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the other driver stayed at the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The name of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the why Bronson was driving in the wrong direction prior to the horrible crash.
Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly accident at Thousand Palms Canyon and Dillion Road.
