Xiaohu Cheng, 58; and Duan Jing, 57, Seriously Injured in Pearblossom Crash
PEARBLOSSOM, CA (April 6, 2021) – A fatal car crash seriously injured Xiaohu Cheng and Duan Jing along Highway 138 in Pearblossom.
The California Highway Patrol identified the Mexico City residents as victims of the wreck which occurred on Monday afternoon.
The incident happened on April 5 when 58-year-old Xiaohu Cheng was driving a 2021 Mazda CX-30 east on Highway 138 in Pearblossom. He was traveling with 57-year-old Duan Jing at the time.
For an unknown reason, a 2007 Audi A3 going west made an unsafe turning movement. The Audi then swerved to the left across westbound lanes, the center median, and the eastbound lanes.
Man, 50, Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 138
CHP said the Audi slammed head-on into the Mazda, east of 123rd Street East. According to The Antelope Valley Times, officers reported the accident at around 3:09 p.m.
Xiaohu Cheng and Duan Jing suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed them to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Firefighters along with the paramedics pronounced the motorist in the Audi, a 50-year-old Victorville man, dead at the scene.
