Driver Hospitalized After Collision on Pomona (60) Freeway Monday
El Monte, CA (March 21, 2022) – Yolanda Vick, a 50-year-old Hemet resident, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Pomona (60) Freeway.
According to My News LA, Vick was driving a 2016 Toyota RAV4 traveling east on the freeway in South El Monte. When the motorist approached the area near Santa Anita Boulevard, it reportedly struck a male party.
The horrible crash took place Monday at about 2:45 a.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the Toyota driver with minor injuries. An ambulance transported Yolanda Vick to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The article published online sadly confirmed the pedestrian died as a result of the collision. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the car and pedestrian accident that happened in South El Monte.
