At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Obanion Road and Golden State Highway Saturday
Yuba City, CA (May 29, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal car crash that occurred in the area of Obanion Road and State Route 99 Saturday evening.
Initial records indicated a semi truck pulling a trailer collided with a Ford F25 in Yuba City. The catastrophic incident took place at the intersection of Obanion Road and SR-99, also known as Golden State Highway.

Shortly after 8 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. Officials mentioned at least one person was pinned in the wreckage. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim.
According to the CHP dispatch, one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
