1 Killed in Head-On Collision Near Live Oak Boulevard
Yuba County, CA (July 22, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 99 Tuesday evening.
The ABC News reported a 2006 Toyota Solara collided with a U-Haul moving van. According to the article published online, the Toyota was traveling south in the northbound side of the highway when the horrible crash took place.
Teenager Dies in Car Accident on Highway 99 in Yuba County
Shortly after 8 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the driver of the Toyota unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the driver sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only identified the deceased as an 18-year-old Olivehurst resident.
Meanwhile, officials added the U-Haul overturned due to the force from the impact.The two people inside the truck both sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation, the names of the people hurt remained undisclosed.
Detectives mentioned alcohol or drugs played a role in the catastrophic incident. Investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the collision on Highway 99 in Yuba County.
