Fatal Wilmington Car Accident on North Avalon Blvd.
WILMINGTON, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2022) – Two people died in a two-vehicle car accident Thursday night on North Avalon Boulevard, just south of Lomita Boulevard in Wilmington.
The fiery crash occurred just after 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 22nd near 1753 N. Avalon Blvd., just north of Banning High School, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded with paramedics to the scene, but sadly one person was found deceased in a vehicle that caught on fire.
They attempted to free the second person from the other vehicle, but they also perished at the scene.
Authorities did not release the names, age or gender of the two people who died.
The cause of the crash was under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Traffic Division incident 4153.
