Family Members Struck By Car on Sidewalk in Mid-City
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 8, 2023) – A 19-year-old man and his parents were all struck by a car Wednesday on a sidewalk on La Cienega Boulevard, just north of Pico Boulevard.
The traffic accident occurred around 5:25 p.m. on June 7th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department report.
A driver reportedly went up on the sidewalk while taking a corner too fast and struck the three adults who were walking on the sidewalk. The vehicle also crashed into a nearby Chase bank at 6161 West Pico Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics responded and rushed all three pedestrians to a hospital. The 48-year-old woman and her 51-year-old husband suffered serious injuries and their teenage son was listed in fair condition.
Meanwhile, the LAFD treated the car’s driver for minor injuries at the scene.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is heading up the investigation.
