Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento Crash at Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2021) – Paul Hernandez, 60, died in a motorcycle crash near Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive in Sacramento.
The deadly collision happened about 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17th, according to KCRA News and the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
The motorcycle rider collided with a truck due to unknown circumstances at the intersection of Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive.
Motorcycle and Truck Accident in Sacramento
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and located Paul Hernandez lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene within minutes of their arrival. The Sacramento coroner later released the victim’s name after his family was notified.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the truck stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. However, the cause of the fatal Sacramento crash is still under investigation. There is a criminal investigation into the collision, but no further details.
Authorities closed down Riverside Boulevard and Swanston Drive following the wreck.
