Big Rig Truck, Jeep Crash on Highway 198
LEMORE, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2021) — A Lemoore crash on Highway 198 on Wednesday involved a semi-truck and a Jeep Wrangler.
The two-vehicle collision happened about 1:25 p.m. on Oct. 6th near Enterprise Avenue according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the semi-truck carrying a small amount of lumber and a white Jeep Wrangler collided on the westbound side of the roadway. The Jeep wound up with major rear-end damage due to the crash and the truck had a broken front axel.
Paramedics responded due to reports of major injuries following the Lemoore crash on Highway 198.
Caltrans reports there is an extended closure of the roadway in the No. 1 lane on the westbound side of Highway 198.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision, however, investigators will piece together evidence and witness statements to determine fault.
