Man Exiting Vehicle Struck, Injured on Highway 99
KEYES, Calif. (May 6, 2024) — A driver struck a pedestrian exiting their vehicle Monday morning on the southbound Highway 99, just north of the East Keyes Road off ramp.
The injury accident occurred at around 5:55 a.m. on May 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A man was reportedly getting out of his vehicle when a white Kia Spectra struck him. The driver told investigators that they did not expect the person to exit their vehicle and they were “too close to lanes,” the report said.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured person to a hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Keyes pedestrian accident on Highway 99.
