Woman Struck, Killed on McKinley Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (April 27, 2022) — A driver struck and killed a woman in a pedestrian accident Wednesday on McKinley Avenue, just down the street from Fresno High School.
The deadly crash happened on East McKinley Avenue about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27th, according to ABC News 30.
Authorities closed down the roadway between North Harrison Avenue and North Palm Avenue to investigate the crash. Police say the driver dragged the woman behind the vehicle after she was hit outside of a marked crosswalk.
The motorist pulled over and stopped and is cooperating with investigators.
Meanwhile, the name of the woman is unknown at this time, but will be released after relatives are notified.
Police do not suspect alcohol and or drugs were factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing to determine fault for the crash.
